Please read carefully. By creating an account or using Game Help Squad, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Game Help Squad.

01 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Game Help Squad platform (the "Platform"), creating an account, or clicking "I agree" during registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, Developers, and Companies using the Platform. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately via our Contact Us page if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

You may not create more than one account per person or organisation without our prior written consent. Accounts are non-transferable.

04 Platform Services

Game Help Squad provides a marketplace platform that enables:

We are a marketplace facilitator, not a party to any engagement between Developers and Companies. We do not employ Developers, guarantee work quality, or guarantee that Companies will find suitable candidates.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time with reasonable notice to users.

06 Payments, Fees & Escrow

Subscription plans: Companies and Developers may subscribe to paid plans (Free, Squad, Elite). Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected. All prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Platform fee: Game Help Squad charges a service fee on Escrow transactions to cover platform operations. The current fee schedule is displayed on our Pricing page and may be updated with 30 days' notice.

Escrow: For contracted engagements, the Company funds the Escrow at the start of the engagement. Funds are released to the Developer upon milestone completion and Company approval. If a Company does not respond within the 72-hour review window, funds are released automatically.

Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Escrow disputes are handled under our Dispute Resolution process (Section 12). We offer a satisfaction guarantee on our subscription plans — if you are not satisfied within 14 days of your first paid subscription, contact us for a full refund.

Taxes: You are responsible for all taxes applicable to your income from the Platform. Game Help Squad is not responsible for determining or remitting taxes on your behalf.

07 Intellectual Property

Platform IP: All intellectual property in the Game Help Squad platform — including software, design, trademarks, and content created by us — is owned by Game Help Squad and protected by applicable law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written permission.

User Content: You retain ownership of Content you submit to the Platform (profile information, portfolio work, job postings). By submitting Content, you grant Game Help Squad a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute that Content as necessary to operate the Platform.

Engagement work product: Ownership of work created during an Engagement is governed by the agreement between the Developer and Company. Game Help Squad is not a party to that agreement and takes no ownership of work product.

09 Ratings, Reviews & Verification

The ratings and reviews system is central to the integrity of the Platform. All reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine engagement experiences. You may not:

Verified Developer badges are awarded based on profile review, skill assessment results, and engagement history. Badges do not constitute our endorsement or guarantee of any Developer's work quality.

We reserve the right to remove any review or badge that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.

10 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Game Help Squad shall not be liable for:

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to Game Help Squad in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11 Termination & Suspension

You may delete your account at any time via your account settings. Deletion takes effect immediately for access purposes; data is retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

On termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Any Escrow funds held for active Engagements will be handled through our standard dispute resolution process. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable on termination for cause.

12 Dispute Resolution

Between users: Disputes between Developers and Companies regarding Engagements should first be attempted to be resolved directly. If unresolved within 7 days, either party may raise a formal dispute through the Platform's dispute centre.

Our dispute resolution process:

  1. Either party submits a dispute via the Platform within 72 hours of the triggering event
  2. Both parties provide evidence and statements within 5 business days
  3. Game Help Squad reviews all evidence and issues a decision within 10 business days
  4. Escrow funds are released in accordance with the decision

Against Game Help Squad: Any dispute between you and Game Help Squad shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13 Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Both parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any dispute, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

14 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

Changes take effect 30 days after notification for existing users. Your continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must delete your account before the effective date.
